TeleMed’s latest innovation delivers a web-based method of searching the on-call schedule of a medical practice and automatically going through all of the listed protocols until the appropriate doctor is located and returns the call. Organizations such as hospitals, medical facilities and nursing homes need only access the secure, HIPAA compliant program directly from the nurse’s station via a web browser. The call out information is entered, and the system then proceeds through the necessary primary and secondary contacts until a call-back is made. No longer does the nurse or doctor at the hospital have to make repeated calls, increasing efficiency also will be gained by the medical practice or doctor being called – as the system moves through the various protocols until a call-back is secured.
